return of the blue

he came back today...

but looking quite out of his element flying in a part of the park not by the lake... i think he was quite scared and i wasn't stalking him when i took this photo. i barely had a moment to notice it was him - if it's even a him... how does one tell the difference between a him and a her?

it's still lovely regardless of where it's flying. i didn't traipse around this time since he was so skittish... didn't seem right. so i only got a few shots and this was the best. i admit, it's one of the most beautiful creatures i've ever laid eyes on...
