Happy Birthday to you...

This is my pal Mary who kindly invited eight of her family and friends for a day in Dublin to celebrate her 60th birthday.

An early start and breakfast in Dublin, shopping and a long leisurely lunch at the Bank Restaurant at College Green. More shopping and then the taxi back to the airport.

Mary's nieces arranged candles on her sweet at the restaurant and her friend Gen had the captain on the flight over to announce her birthday. We were a bit disappointed that the rest of the passengers didn't join in the cheers. We always do for others.

Tomorrow is high tea at an Edinburgh hotel with champagne and I'm sure we have a bit more celebration at the weekend.

We all agreed we had lovely day but the next time we all get together we'll have an overnighter.
