Persistence...

That's what it took to capture this little downy woodpecker's picture. With spring on the horizon, the birds aren't as excited about my little black bag of peanuts, but this woodpecker and a few others, especially the chickadees, still came around for a treat from my bag.

I'm not so sure why the birds are celebrating spring. It was still cold today. I wore my earmuffs, and gloves would have felt good. On the other hand, the daffodils are blooming and so is the forsythia, so hopefully it will warm up soon.
