The Way I See It. . .

Timing is Everything....

Today I was supposed to go with Susa to Palo Alto, but the weather was horrible and groggy..that we just decided to go to Fremont. I wanted to take her to this German deli I knew of. . . so when we came to the Deutsch Deli, Susa was shocked because she had a taste home just being there. At the shop, there was German beer, candy, etc, etc. Then Rita, the owner found out that Susa was German, and they started chatting. She asked me if I knew it, but I only told her I could only pick up some stuff from time to time. Oh, and we ordered Wienerschnitzel! :) Susa definately had her taste of home..she said she hasn't had German food in the past 5 months that she's been studying here....it made me smile!

Later on, Rita's friend, brought in a cake. And, we found out it was her birthday. It was cute, because she invited us to have cake too (after we started chatting) and we sang Happy Birthday to her. Funny how Rita didn't have any birthday candles, so she lit a regular candle! haha. . it was nice being offered after small talk.

It was a nice day, perfect timing to go to the Deli today..just because it was her birthday..we learned about one another..and we had some cake! :) After all, ich liebe kuchen!!! :)
