Misquotes and untruths

It amazes me the way that journalists "adapt" quotes during interviews, whether it be a slight slip up or totally out of context, it seems that anyone running the gauntlet of being stopped for a quick interview by the local rag must be slightly mad.

Cue the picture of me in tonight's edition of "The Evening Chronicle". Taken this morning just after an interview I gave about additional CCTV cameras being installed in the neighbourhood - fortunately for me I sent my kids along with friends while I was interviewed as I knew that they would want photos of them.

And do you know what? The majority of my quotes are the real deal, as said and in context... not all, but the majority. This, of course, must be some new record in journalism ;)
