Sutton Valance

(Backblip)

As I suspected the bug made a slight comeback today! Blessed thing. Still, we went out, had lunch in Tenterden and went on to the elusive Sutton Valance, which is an incredibly intact (and well hidden) little village, even with original walkways and paths, dozens of historic houses all bunched in together as they would have been 500 years ago. Pretty amazing! I shot this from the little hill fort ruin they have there (they try to call it a castle).

It was also incredibly, stupidly hot for the time of year. It may have claimed to be 19 but the humidity made it feel like 25, easily.

We went on to Biddenden, which also had a surprising amount of intact old houses, including an entire period shopping front. Spoilt!
