Fountain Roulette

This is a new activity that we missed out on as kids because we had no equivalent computer controlled, pavement fountain displays. In my day you had to get waist deep in water to get near a fountain, now you can walk straight up to it.

This one is in Peterborough where we spent the day and my son Alex could not resist the temptation to show his nerve in the full and certain knowledge that at any moment an eight foot jet of water could spout up and hit him smack in the face: if I am honest, that is really why I had my camera at the ready!!

This was the winner of three blips I had lined up for today, including one of Shadow Chancellor, Ed Balls campaigning just off screen to the left of the shot.
