Hythe pier

For many years hubby took the train down this pier then caught the ferry for a 10 minute journey across the Solent to Southampton then 10 minute bus to work each day and back again in the evening.
It's a lovely relaxing way to commute in the summer but rather grim in the winter or in the rain.
Now he car shares which is a shame but more convenient in many ways. He certainly was less stressed taking the ferry compared with putting up with the agressive driving of his co-driver. Not that hubby is the most mild tempered person in the world!
