Leaves in progress
Took a stroll in the gardens by Norwich Castle this lunchtime. I've lived in Norwich since 1997 and never been there before - lots of interesting nooks and crannies, including a secret outdoor theatre!
The pink blossom in front of the castle looked lovely but the stark beauty of these trees overlooking Castle Meadow (don't get excited - it's not a meadow, but a busy road with loads of bus stops) suited my mood and I like the shapes of the branches. It will be interesting to see what they are like in a couple of months.
It's been a very busy and exciting week. The choir are making plans for how we want to develop over the next year and last night we had a guest Musical Director, Mary, who was fabulous and introduced us to a new song Ella's Song - the recurring chorus line of which is:
We who believe in freedom cannot rest
We who believe in freedom cannot rest until it comes.
Once we had the hang of it Mary got us breaking out of our voice groups and asked us to sing whilst walking around the room, weaving in and out, which sounded amazing. And made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end ....
And now I am on leave from work until the 26th, looking forward to spending some time with Rol and hopefully some good blipping.
