Low tide at St. Peter's Pool

Back to full-time working for the summer so I haven't had much free time for posting.

Today I headed out to Deerness. It is a good place to see summer migrant birds arrive, or passage birds on their way through. Didn't see much really, though I got my first great skuas of this year.

This shot is part of Deer Sound by Dingieshowe. I think the iron things may be from the war and part of some anti-invasion defences.
