Mi Mi's Nail Bar
VERY blustery day, as you can tell from this girl's tousled hair. I was just photographing the juicy colours of the door and window (with that nicely expressionist WET PAINT sign) when she came forward to see what I was up to. She very kindly let me photograph her. Her turning away (perhaps from shyness) was absolutely perfect, as was the wind-mussed hair; I couldn't have arranged a better pose.
Strange how things come to you. As I was getting the wean ready for a stroll in the park earlier this afternoon he got grumpy and threw his little plastic 'racing car' ball (decorated with characters from the animated film 'Cars') under our car. I told him off then got on my hands and knees, but there was no sign of the damned thing. So I walked one bawling little boy down the road and into the nearby housing estate (the park is at the far side). He was still sniffling and complaining, when I spied, rolling along the gutter, bowled towards us by the wind, his racing car ball! The zephys were good to us today.
BTW
Skyroad has been shortlisted for the IRISH BLOG AWARDS (to my astonishment).
