Kingfishers in Courtship

Beautiful birds but they are so tiny that even at 400 mm I couldn't resolve a lot of detail from 15 meters away.

This was taken at my neighborhood park. Although it is in Tokyo, half of the suburb used to be a US military base until the late 70s, and a good part of this land was converted into a park, complete with its own bird sanctuary. It is an abundance of greenery that few Tokyoites get to enjoy.

In case anyone is interested, here is a set of 10 shots taken in continuous 7fps mode as one of the kingfishers dived in, grabbed a fish and returned. They are so amazingly fast it is all a little blurry, though.
