A bee's view

There is something strange looking at the tulips from this angle. Somehow the petals have a different texture and don't appear as soft as usual. These flowers are now past their best and soon the individual petals will flop backwards waiting for the breeze to break them off.

A mostly dark day with a little sunshine. Mowed part of the lawn and did some other gardening. Every year I am determined to battle with the ivy, brambles, ground elder and other weeds which leap over the wall and invade us but they always win in the end!
