IN THE DITCH

near the Gagelhoeve. Mischa and I, we set out this morning to a cityfarm, found out it was closed and cycled to the Gagelhoeve. I went on my knees to photograph the chickens, they were eating small things and moved forward all the time. The grass was a bit wet. So I left them and walked on the grounds. Mischa pointed to a coot on her nest, a tiny little head peeping from under her body.
The male-coot swam around and brought every minute something to eat for her. And that is what you see.
