A Splash of Green
Woke up this morning and went outside to clean off my car before the weather could turn the ice impossible. On my way back inside, I spied some deer prints next to the building. I knew they were around (there's a family of three deer living in the woods behind the complex), but had not thought that they would venture this close to the building. Color me surprised. Also caught these holly leaves (pictured above). At least, i think they're holly leaves.

Few hours at the tattoo parlor where I watched two of the artists build their own tattoo guns. On my bus ride home, the driver noticed a car wanting to parallel park in front of him. He loves to make fun of people who fail, so he motioned the guy to continue. The guy slid right in, no problem. The bus driver opened the bus doors and pulled up to the guy's door. The bus driver complimented the guy on his parking job.
"I've been doing this a while," the guy said, boasting.
"Fantastic job! Now...look to your immediate right."
The guy's face fell. He had parallel parked next to a fire hydrant (illegal in the states but i'm not sure about anywhere else). The bus driver then drove off cackling. "This is the best thing that's happened to me in a long time," claimed the bus driver. I felt a little bad for the guy, but he should have noticed the visible yellow curb (can't park next to yellow painted curb). Oh well. Off to play some video games and perhaps out to the bars with the cohort.
The girl looked down. The guy cleared his throat. She looked up again and had managed to compose herself. Her blank face gave nothing away. The guy grinned crookedly. "Hey." She echoed his oration: "Hey." The guy hesitated again. She was getting tired of this. "What do you want?" He nervously chuckled. "Want? Why would I want anything?" She sighed. "Okay, if you don't want anything, then why did you stop me?" He looked confused.
