Peddlers and their wares near the remparts

This is a photo of the sidewalk just in front of the remparts of the medina of Tetouan (Morocco). We snuck into a building and went to the roof to get this overhead view. We were in Tetouan for a month doing a study of public space (which turned into a study of commercial activity in public space) in the medina of Tetouan, as part of an international workshop in urban design.

We were actually trying to get a shot of the parking lot that is just outside of this frame. I couldn't resist also taking a photo of these colorful made-in-china plastics. Notice how they just leave enough space for potential customers to pass by browsing...
