Paint The Campus Purple Week

All week this week we have had Paint the Campus Purple week for our Relay for Life event which is being held next Friday. Relay for Life is an event run through the American Cancer Society to help raise awareness and money in support of cancer patients.

Paint the Campus Purple is a week long campaign to get students involved and informed about Relay for Life. On Monday we had an informational meeting. On Tuesday, it was Paint the Cafeteria Purple day; we had purple food (potatoes, cauliflower, etc.), desserts, and decorated the cafeteria purple too. On Wednesday, we did purple hair extensions, on Thursday Fashionology sold purple/Relay related items.

Today, we walked around campus handing out purple balloons to students on their ways to and from class. We had a purple mascot (a student dressed in a purple spandex suit that covered him from head to toe). Silly me forgot to take a picture until we gave away all of our balloons, but it was definitely a fun day!
