Carol contemplating the day ahead

Today dawned a miserable day again. Nothing planned and really not much to inspire you to feel you want to do anything. Mrs O was looking out the kitchen window hoping for a change in the weather and a chance to get outside and enjoy the last of a late summer but no chance.

It got me thinking........

We really are soft when we get a wee shower of rain and all we do is stay inside in front of the fire. Generations ago we would have been outside and into it not concerned at the least with the weather. How much softer are the current generation compared to our parents and grandparents.........

P.S. we did in the end do something, two huge pots of soup and homemade pizzas later it really seems like a productive day after all!!!
