Some Like It HOT!

Dante's Inferno.

It's supposed to be Crispy Chicken, but it quickly went to a whole other world. The recipe called for Korean red chili pepper, and somehow between the recipe and my measuring there was a really big misunderstanding.

Crispy? Check.
Tasty? Check.
Nose-dripping, brow-sweating, finger-licking good? Check, check, check.

My mouth was on fire, but the browned butter asparagus and leftover cauliflower gratin helped stifle the flames....at least, momentarily. :)

Random sidenote, but I actually do nothing to enhance these photos. It's not a plug on my photog skills (which currently are below amateur); actually it's due to a lack of software...but I couldn't help to admire how much natural light enhances the photo quality of food! Now if only the sun would stay and the rain would leave....:P
