Drowned Not Forgotten
Beautiful morning so decision made for a walk around Thruscross Reservoir in the Washburn Valley not far from Otley and Harrogate. There are four reservoirs in this valley, this one being the 'top' one feeding into the lower three.
The walk round is very varied, through woods and open moorland as well as alongside the water. This reservoir was built in 1966/8 and flooded the already derelict village of West End.
At one end are some remains of a building, the water is quiet low at the moment so hence this shot. It was early so all was quite and more or less still.
The wall with the opening reminded me of a jigsaw.
