Sunday stroll along the river Cocker

After a cool and cloudy start, it's like the middle of summer now!

We drove to Cockermouth and walked along the river Cocker for an hour or two. Very rural and peaceful. Chloe enjoyed lots of swims in the river! ( She is back on the lead for this shot as there were some sheep nearby).

Two rivers meet at Cockermouth... the Derwent and the Cocker. When the floods came about 18 months ago both rivers were in full spate and the inevitable happened!

Coleridge decided to call one of his sons after one of the Cockermouth rivers. Fortunately he called him 'Derwent'!
