such a perfect day...

...I'm glad I spent it with you.

Spent a lovely day in North Berwick today in the sunshine with my two boys. A picnic at the park and then ice cream and hole digging at the beach.

It actually couldn't have been any better. Well, it maybe could have been longer, but that's the bittersweet side of Sunday for you.

We drove home along the Coast Road - the sun bouncing off the water, each of us feeling a little sleepy, sandy and salty from the sunny sea air.

This came on the ipod and I allowed myself one or two tears - the sentimental, happy ones of course...
