The life & times of Jacks

Chiller Killer

Last night Steve and I watched the latest installment of the Harry Potter movies - I loved it. Steve wasn't quite as impressed.

Today has been somewhat more stressful than yesterday though. I woke up about 730am to a noise that sounded like a distressed bird. I had a peek outside into the garden and there was Casper "playing" with a starling. Steve got up and brought Casper in, locking him in leaving the bird to either destress and get away or die in peace without Casper. Unfortunately an hour or so later the poor bird was still out there. Steve and I called the Vets who weren't helpful, so then called the RSPCA who were excellent. They took the details, advised us to keep checking and said they would be in touch when the inspectors could get there.

Unfortunately the little fella died which saddened us. It's a bit of a contradiction being a cat owner and lover and being a general animal lover. It causes us no end of distress however we can't be annoyed at Casper who is just being a cat. We have a bell on his collar but he still seems to be excellent at catching and killing things.

Later in the day he is just chilling on the patio outside - hence the title.

For those readers amongst the people who read my blip - I have just finished a book called "So Much for That" by Lionel Shriver - highly recommend it.

Well early to bed tonight, big day ahead tomorrow and butterflies in my tummy at the prospect!
