Glen Strathfarrar

Had a lovely walk along the River Farrar in the picture, we followed a track for about 2.5 miles until it crossed the river at a ford, so it was off with the boots and socks, roll up the trousers and wade through the cold water! Then we followed the road back to where we had parked. Steady exercise and loads of fresh air were enhanced by the experience of nature, notably a herd of Red Deer, a wild goat with kid, a fleeting glimpse of a Golden Eagle and a lava flow!
All-in-all a grand day out.
