First swim!

The Gulf of Mexico was warm enough for swimming today! Northern tourists have been in the water for weeks, but this Florida girl needs the water temperature to be at least 75 degrees.

There were lots of people on the beach, family groups, surfers, and shell hunters. The beach rescue fellows were busy warning swimmers who swam out away from the shore too far as there was considerable undertow. The seagulls were diving after potato chips and sandwich crusts, sand was flying from the breeze, the waves were hissing, and everywhere was a feeling of joy about the beauty of the day.
