A brief paddle in the sea kayak this evening. Somewhat late for a first outing of the year. Headed off from Chanonry Point on the Black Isle, across the Firth to Fort George, and a short distance beyond. A beautiful evening.
Prior to the sun setting, I sat and watched a pair of young common seals playing at fairly close quarters. I'd approached quietly with sun behind me, and when they eventually became aware of my presence, they tentatively came a bit closer to have a look at this strange person/craft. They can be quite inquisitive, and I've been followed by numerous seals in the past.
