~kickball~

Today after church there was an intense game of kickball in our street. Sam, Will, Mallary's kids, and the two neighbor girls had a ball on what seemed like the first day in a very long time that the kids could be out in t-shirts and jeans and just play.

Here's how it pretty much went down. Will, fully intense and was totally into it. Sam, pretending to be in charge and trying to impress the older girl across the street. Mallary's son, running to each base with a great big smile then sitting on curb or base and seconds later forgetting to run to the next. Mallary's daughter, actually stealing bases, yes she was picking them up and taking them where she thought they should go. The kids had a blast and later after Mallary and family left, Daddy, Will and I did yard work, Sam rode his new (to him) long board up and down the street while Lily took her nap. Daddy and boys later went for a bike ride/stroller walk and then they had a nerf gun fight with the neighbor girls. Days like these I am very thankful we live where we do and that the kids have a safe place with lots of kids to play with. We are very blessed.

Pretty much a perfect day and now I am exhausted! Good night all!
