wander, stumble, wonder

Light in the dark

Hurrah! I'm now on my Easter break! Cheating a little, since it doesn't officially start until Thursday, but hey, if uni doesn't want to schedule me classes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, I'm fine with that. And so in the midst of all the difficulties of the final year of a law degree, I have a little respite. The best bit is that the only assignment I have is to go to the courts, which are closed for part of the break, so I have no choice but to relax, read books (still The Tyrannicide Brief - fascinating, but not particularly light, with The Handmaid's Tale queued up and on hold at the library), watch tv (V at the moment, will hopefully get Community from a friend soon. I've been told to watch it), go for some day walks (with my camera of course), eat a little chocolate and enjoy the Easter Sunday sunrise. And learn to use my camera. So not much planned at all... :D

Thanks everyone for your good lucks on my exam today, it went alright. Not amazing, but I felt pretty good about some of the questions. Others weren't as great, but that's the best thing about short answer exams. The highlight of it was when I accidentally threw my pen across the room and hit a poor girl in the back. No idea how it came to be spinning across the room - one moment I was turning a page, the next my pages were falling to the floor and my pen careening through the air... Many mouthed 'oh my goodness I'm so sorry ahhh sorry!!!!'s followed that...

And there you have it. Today's photo is something I can see from my desk - have spent many hours staring at this one (like the grass in yesterdays), marvelling at just how bright it can be. This was it yesterday, in the bright sun, and then today it's overcast and not sunny, yet it's still radiating warmth, happiness and joy. There's something that can be learnt from this flower.
