Dante's Inferno
My friend Jocelyn and I took a trip about 30 miles north of Austin to visit the Inner Space Caverns. The tour lasted just over an hour and took us about a half-mile below ground - though we only reached a depth of about 65 feet.
The blue light indicates that there are at least 50 feet of explored cave beyond that point. The caverns were quite beautiful and many of the formations were stunning.
I've been in several caverns before in New Mexico and West Virginia, but this one was different. Most caverns seem to remain very cool, around 50-60º, but this one was around 72º, which isn't hot, but with the 98% humidity, it did feel a bit hellish.
