Bellbird...

My 1st ever Bellbird...tink (the sound they make)....
Bell miner...Manorina mellanophrys...
The smallest of the miners...most often heard,not seen...
Perseverance paid off today....I found a tree I heard them in,took as many shots as I could before they moved on,and although not a fabulous shot,this is what they look like...my 1st sighting :)
Bellbirds are strongly associated with psyllid (tiny insects that feed on eucalypt leaves) infestations,causing die back,and may even actively farm psyllids as a food source...definitely what they were after in this tree.....
A diversion on the way back from the dentist...amazing what you find...
