Smoking!

This image shows Northern Chief just about to cross the road leading onto the Dungeness Estate. She's heading off the Dungeness loop and back towards New Romney.

Cal and I had already been bird-watching at the nature reserve; we watched a pair of Crested Grebes performing their mating display and cormorants feeding their young and coots fighting over territory. Then we went down to Dungeness and saw this train leaving as we arrived so we headed back and caught this shot as we waited for it to cross.

Finally we went down to New Romney for a coffee and some more photos of engines on the smallest public railway in the world.
