Bird on a wire

I didn't take many pics today, at least nothing very pretty. I went to Strumpshaw Fen RSPB to twitch a Ferruginous Duck (second attempt and this time I saw it) and all my pics were long distance and very grainy. I got a good enough record shot of the bird but that was about it.

This little fella was sitting on a wire in the car park of the pub where my lovely friends kindly treated me to a belated birthday lunch. He was singing his little heart out and who can fail to be melted by a Swallow!
