Weir

I was out with the kids on the bikes today and found this weir, it's only about a mile and a half from our house but even after all the years living here we'd never seen it before.

It's great to discover something new so close to home.

Who ever built the weir must have had a good sense of humour as there is a statue of a figure reclining at the top of the weir.

The statue is just lazing in the sun enjoying the Sunday morning.
