D.I.Y = Monkey Business

I would be lying if I said the DIY isn't getting to me (and Chico the Monkey has already let it known he's not happy with the collapsing bookshelf). I know that nesting is a natural part of pregnancy and that it's common to get right stuck into tasks and jobs in the house in preparation for the new arrival but my type of nesting is more demolishing and starting again and I'm sorry....I've just not read about that in ANY of the books.

Sigh.

This weekend has been hugely productive. Floors have been painted and lain down and furniture has been shifted from one room to another to another like a giant and less addictive game of Tetris. Whilst I am blipping, I'm supposed to be removing everything from the livingroom so the scary SandingMan can come and blitz the floors without worrying he's going to contaminate everything with dust (isn't that going to happen regardless?!?!?!?)

By Thursday things should be looking more normal.

And having spent my entire life trying to avoid 'normal', I have to admit I'm kinda looking forward to it.....
