A new breakwater is being constructed to prevent flooding of the houses closest to the sea.

All my life the sea defences have been enough to stop flooding at this point, a victorian promenade built to bring train travellers 'doon the watter' from Galsgow.

Personally, I'm glad my house is a mile uphill
But will even that be enough ?
