That one's too big
Back blip today as we went to Lochinver and I'm still going through my shots. On the way parked at the bottom of the track to Ledmore quarry and walked up a few hundred yards. As it turned out one of their machines had broken down so all was at a standstill and we could wander round the site. Chatting to one of the workmen it appears they no longer produce big blocks as the rock has too many flaws so everything is crushed to various sizes. The finest used for lime on fields. One grade of chips is taken up mostly by Tesco who use it to make tiles for their supermarkets floors.
