Heron

Had a well needed day off today except most of it was taken up meeting my mortgage advisor, which went well, and then a doctor's appointment.
However, i then went for a walk around Elmdon park, or around the lake at least. I intended going further but was mesmorised firstly by the heron captured here gulping down a freshly caught fish (hence the wet feathers) and later by the coot sitting on her nest, eventually revealing her very new chicks. I've tried putting a link to blipfolio but apparently it hasn't worked...grrr to technology!Beautiful sunny day and very summery. Fingers crossed it lasts til the weekend.
