Power cut

We had planned to take the car up to Springfield Quay, go for a walk along the Clyde and try to take a picture of the sunset, then go for dinner, but a lack of power meant that we couldn't open the gates and were stuck at home with no means of cooking. So, whilst sitting on the front step in the sun partaking of a cold beverage and waiting for the man from Domino's to turn up with our 2-4-1 pizza bonanza, we took some photos of the flowers and birds in the front garden. Last week, this shrub was just boring old green, now it's got amazing orange blossom all over it.

Evening improved again when a friend popped in for a cuppa (the power was back on by that time so she could get in), which became a glass of wine or two. Tough going, these warm evenings :)
