Rising Sun
The flare on this streetlamp looks exactly like a childs representation of a rising sun.
We attempt to fool ourselves into thinking that the camera only captures what is there, that it never lies. We speak of using post-processing as somehow "cheating". But the camera itself is no perfect observer. Depth of field effects are not usually visible to our own eyes, but in photography we love them. Graininess and black-and-white are "artistic", but creations of the camera and film/sensor. Lens flare and aperture effects like this are often seen. The very act of setting your aperture and exposure defines the version of reality the camera will capture, it cannot be an impartial observer. We merely delude ourselves that it is.
The crop on this photo is one I find pleasing, but is also designed so that the thumbnail on the main page appears black. Maybe it will have caught your attention and brought you in to see what the picture contains. Maybe this blip will never be seen because people think it is faulty, or missing. We'll see. Blip may use neutral colours and frames to show of pictures to best effect, but even it is not completely devoid of influence over how a photo will be seen.
