The Golden Afternoon

Daffodils...they've never been my favorite flower. Maybe because I'm not the hugest fan of yellow? Maybe it's the shape? However, they do mean spring is here and today was a beautiful afternoon. I spent most of it studying in the library but it's nice to know that the weather is splendid just outside.

So daffodils always make me think of Alice in Wonderland. As a child, the tale was a bit too nonsensical for me and I never enjoyed it, except for the part where the flowers sing. You know, "You can learn a lot of things from the flowers, for especially in the month of June. There's a wealth of happiness and romance all in the golden afternoon..." Went about singing that today. Glorious day.
