the brickyard: under snow

unexpected accumulation of precipitation lured me to a local mountain biking spot i traffic during warmer months. a clear blue sky allowed sunlight to leak through the canopy of the trees and onto the ground below. i expect there used to be a brick forge there, or else a brick building that was demolished. either way, pieces like this, scattered and buried, are all that remain of it. time has left it behind.
