signs

Once again I find myself in a position where I'm not likely to have any other opportunities to take shots today and, having reviewed the ones I took at lunchtime, am struggling to find one that I really like.

I only had about twenty minutes to get out and about today, so I took a quick walk over to the railway line. Crossing over the bridge on Park Road, I took a few shots of the tracks and some other random shots. Amongst them was this funny little sign - one of many mounted on the walls of the bridge - which indicates the position of a power cable buried in the bridge.

The railway in East Grinstead is perhaps best known for the town's association with the much maligned Dr Richard Beeching who was made Baron Beeching of East Grinstead in 1965 and died in the town's Queen Victoria Hospital in 1985.
