Another Welcome Return
The garden continues to be short of birds, but I've just had a nice surprise on coming home from work.
This pair of siskins were back on the nyger seed feeder. I changed the seed yesterday. Apparently the seed dries out after a while and the goldfinches and siskins won't eat it. I would say from this evidence that is true. So a lesson to be learnt there!
This is also a nice photo for those of you who like a bit of ID teaching. The male, with the black cap, is on the left, the female on the right.
I haven't seen them in the garden for a couple of weeks now, so it was good to see them.
The garden was devoid of manic swans for those concerned about my bruise.
