When I moved into this house I inherited 2 small apple trees. I waited eagerly last spring for any signs of blossom. Not a single flower bud appeared.

I was doing some weeding between them one day in the summer & chatting with my neighbour about them and his pear tree. I jokingly said I'd pull them out if they didn't flower the next year.

They are both covered in loads of pink flower bud clusters this spring.

Funny that.
