Physical Graffiti

Evening all,
what a beautiful day, had a super walk this evening and stumbled across loads of brilliant photo opportunities, colourful fungi, beautiful sunsets, and also stumbled across a bird's egg lying forgotten and forlorn in the middle of the trail......but i'm not blipping any of these!

Graffiti as a word has such negative connotations, usually to represent an outlet for rebellion, a voice for disaffected youth or a collection of phallic daubs and naughty swear words..

I found this graffiti on the floor in a supposed "really rough no go area" of Sheffield which i actually go into a lot with no particular issues, and i loved it, i loved the fun, i loved the innocence of it and also the hope and joy that it conveys, i also loved the fact that it was in the middle of a busy well trodden pavement, walked by the "thieves hooligans and yobbos" of Sheffield, and each one i saw walked up to it, looked down at it, and made a real effort not to stand on it or spoil it...
