Baaaa . . . . .

All say aaaah! These little lambs are in the shed at the top of the village. The one that is stretching is a Texel and the ones with the big rabbit ears are Border Leicesters. Don't know what breed the black one is, but there are Shetland and Cheviot ewes in the shed, so it might be one of them.

As I have explained before, this building was originally a school, but it was used as a cattle shed before being used for lambing sheep. The barriers are designed so that beasts can put their heads through to eat the feed from the central area, but now that it is used for sheep they use it as a creep fence. The ewes are kept in the pens at the sides and the lambs can "creep" through to the centre, meet up with their mates and race up and down having a whale of a time!
