London is Melting
We took the kids into London today for their first ever 'London Day Out'. I'd booked for us to go on the London Eye and a River Cruise. We then walked along the South Bank and over towards Charing Cross and Trafalgar Square. We also went to Monument, as Becky had recently learned about the Great Fire of London.
After that we returned to Westminster to see Westminster Abbey, then walked up Whitehall, through to Horseguards Parade, along the Mall and towards Buckingham Palace.
The photo of the Palace of Westminster is almost a reject, but I've decided I like the 'melting' look! It was taken from the London Eye and the curvature of the pod has distorted the buildings and bridge. It was a really hot day (for April) , so the haziness of the image adds to the authenticity.
