A Year.
So, a year ago, I said, "Yet.." in reply to the statement of, "No oil is leaking." Not saying I was being prophetic, I'm just a realist (or a pessimist, depending on your viewpoint).
Here is what I didn't know a year ago. An estimated 396,800 acres of freshwater wetlands were lost between 1998 and 2004 in the Gulf of Mexico. There are organizations trying to save the gulf, but they need donations and volunteers to survive...and just in case you're wondering why you should care...the wetlands supports a diverse population of wildlife that help us survive.
BTNEP, Gulf Restoration Network...any number of organizations need our support to protect the wetlands and the waters off the gulf coast, especially now. The oil is out there. People are suffering and wildlife is suffering.
