Sea Hare

Perhaps not the most beautiful of beach creatures, but certainly photogenic! So willing to sit still and pose.....;-0

In all my years of beach combing, had never seen one of these critters and was not sure what it was until I got home and could do a bit of research online. This specimen is about a foot long, very squishy, and jetted out the most amazing purple ink when touched. The tide was coming in and the ink kept washing away before I could snap a photo.

Took lots of other photos of the beach and Old Florida on this fine spring morning, but who could resist sharing such an oddity even if s/he isn't very pretty.
