Nearly at the top!

This is our ascent to the top of Stac Polaidh (well nearly) - not bad for a couple of oldies.

The final ascent is from the back and the view is over Inverpolly in Assynt and the mountain is Suilven, one of the most formidable in the area.

The views all round were well worth the effort. In the other direction we could see the Coigac peninsula with the Summer Isles and the Outer Hebrides in the distance.

A totally amazing day with clear views and no wind - and this is April in NW Scotland?!
